Interview with Eddie Arthur after a holiday from blogging

Thankfully, today marks the end of Eddie’s holiday from blogging. The creative wizard at Kouya.net just left us, poof! And now he’s back. I’ve taken the liberty of interviewing him about his time off. He’s still a bit hungover from the experience and so his answers weren’t always understandable but I’ve tried to transcribe them as best as I could.

Lingamish: Hi, Eddie.

Eddie: …

Lingamish: Eddie! Eddie, are you there?

Eddie: Uh, yeah. Who’s that?

Lingamish: It’s your friend, Lingamish. You know, blogger extraordinaire and fellow Internet denizen.

Eddie: Oh, hello, Lingamish. What’s your real name?

Lingamish: My mother calls me David.

Eddie: Right. You’re the one who insulted English chocolate, aren’t you?

Lingamish: Yes, and I told Bassam to bite you on the bum one time as well if I recall. How was your holiday?

Eddie: Lovely. We were at the coast. I watched seagulls.

Lingamish: Did you get a tan?

Eddie: It rained mostly.

Lingamish: All your fellow Internet addicts want to know how you survived such an extended period without Internet connectivity.

Eddie: Yes, well I was rather shaky at the start. Sue had to lock me in my room for the first couple days. And I kept trying to browse the web on my mobile phone so she took that away too.

Lingamish: So did this experience teach you anything? Are you planning to reorder your private world and give blogging a more balanced place in your day-to-day existence?

Eddie: First, I learned that the lovely little coastal town where we were staying doesn’t have an Internet cafe. Second, I learned that in some parts of the world, unlike Britain, it doesn’t rain while you’re on holiday. Finally, uh, I can’t remember what the last thing was. What was your question?

Lingamish: Thank you, Eddie.

[call ends]

So there you have it. Scoop of the summer. I look forward to Eddie coming back to join us. It was lonely without him. He seems changed somehow by his experience.

  1. You are welcome Dave – for the record we went mountain walking and visited lots of antiquities and some family members. Anyone who says that my family could fit into both categories is quite possibly truthful. A report will follow on http://www.kouya.net.
